John Russo joins Team WOTD 2024

I am so proud to announce that the first ever Romero Zombie/Ghoul ever to be killed on screen, Mr John Russo!!!

This is Johns second visit to Weekend of the Dead since his first visit back in 2020. John co-wrote Night of the Living Dead 1968 with George Romero and was also involved in the 1990 remake, co producing it with Russ Streiner.

He also wrote the first draft story to Return of the Living Dead which went on to be a classic hit in the mid 80’s.
“With twenty books published internationally and nineteen feature movies in worldwide distribution, John Russo has been called a “living legend”. He began by co-authoring the screenplay for Night of the Living Dead, which has become recognised as a “horror classic”.
