John Amplas Returns for 2023

We are extremely proud and excited at Weekend of the Dead, to complete our lineup with the announcement of the one and only John Amplas. John joined us back in 2017 and 2020 so with the release of the second sight 4K of Martin it seemed a perfect time to bring him back for 2023. He’s a true fan favourite. With his past announcements so many people have said to me “I didn’t know John Amplas was in that”. Of course it’s easy to spot John in Day of the Dead as the scientist “Ted Fisher” and of course the main character in Martin, however some may have missed him in Dawn of the Dead as one of the “Martinez” gang at the beginning of the movie. His makeup changed his appearance so much it was easy to not recognise him. John played the iconic monster in Creepshow as “Nate’s Corpse” and of course the 5 movie set is complete with his character in Knightriders as Whiteface. If you are meeting John for first time or this is your 2nd or even lucky enough to be your 3rd time you’ll be in for a real treat when you meet him this year. He’s brilliant with the fans and the biggest challenge for any attendee this year is what will you get signed. I’ll be shocked if it’s not your latest copy of the 4K of Martin!!
